Paid checkout is available when a shipping wave is open. Joining the interest list above does not reserve a kit, add you to a numbered waitlist, or charge you.

The kit and price

One kit is an assembled replacement connector board and a printed cartridge tray for the front-loading NES-001. It is a developing independent product, not an original Nintendo part or an Arcade Works product. An NES console, decorative lid, and game cartridge are not included.

The price is $49.99 USD per kit, plus $8 flat shipping per U.S. order or $25 flat international shipping per order where service is available. One kit totals $57.99 domestically or $74.99 internationally before tax and import charges; two total $107.98 or $124.98. The maximum is two kits per person. No order is accepted until payment succeeds and an order confirmation is issued.

Shipping and timing

The first shipping wave is planned for January 2027, with later orders assigned to following monthly waves as production continues. Your assigned shipping month will be shown before payment. If paid checkout is unavailable, you may join the unpaid interest list. An interest-list signup is not an order, a guarantee of availability, or a promise of a shipping month. Future paid waves will open only when capacity and a specific shipping month are available.

Shipping is charged once per order for one or two kits, where postal service is available. The seller covers any postage above the flat charge. International recipients may owe customs duties, import tax, or handling fees collected by their country or carrier. The checkout total, including any tax collected by the seller, will be shown before payment.

The board has been revised after an unwanted short was found in an earlier prototype. New parts are expected for assembly and testing during the week of October 12, 2026, subject to arrival. Physical testing is already underway; final tests on the revised board and tray remain pending. If testing or production changes the contents or shipping plan materially, customers will be told and offered a choice to proceed or cancel for a full refund.

Cancellation and delay

You may cancel a paid order before shipment for a full refund by emailing [email protected] with your order number. If the kit cannot ship by the last day of the month assigned at checkout, we will contact you before that deadline with a revised shipping date and a choice to agree to the delay or cancel for a prompt, full refund. If we cannot obtain your agreement, we will refund the order. Refunds go to the original payment method. An unpaid notification or waitlist signup can be removed on request without charge.

Payment and personal information

Payment is handled by Stripe. This website will not collect or store card numbers. We will use your name, email, shipping address, order details, and payment status to process and ship your order and contact you about it. The shipping address stays in the private order system and is never published on the website. See the privacy notice for more information.
