NES connector: revised boards are on the way.
We found an unwanted short in the earlier PCB, revised the board, and plan to assemble the new parts next week after the boards arrive for testing.
An unwanted short turned up in an earlier NES connector board prototype, so I updated the board design before moving forward. The revised fabrication files passed the design and copper checks, and new boards are on the way.
Once the boards arrive, I plan to assemble the new parts during the week of October 12 and continue testing the connector in a real NES. Physical testing is already underway; final tests on the revised board and tray remain pending. I will share the final results as they come in.
Paid preorders are open for an assembled connector board and printed tray kit at $49.99, plus $8 flat shipping to U.S. addresses or $25 flat international shipping where service is available. Orders are limited to two kits per person. The first shipping wave is planned for January 2027, with later orders assigned to following monthly waves. Your assigned shipping month is shown before payment. If paid checkout is unavailable, you can join the unpaid interest list for future-wave updates. Final tests pending; review the cancellation and delay terms before paying. Visit the separate Preorder page at https://www.thejesterwins.com/nes-preorder/ to reserve a kit or sign up for updates.
