A sleepy new face for the NES.
Sleeping Charmander meets an orange NES lid, with a rounded tail flame and fresh flame accents. A look at the latest digital design preview.
A little fire, a lot of character. The latest NES lid design brings a sleeping Charmander to an orange shell, keeping the sculpt’s resting face, paws and curled tail.
This design pass adds black eyelid accents, a rounded red-and-yellow tail flame, and a fuller flame accent on the front-right of the lid. The matching red and yellow details give the case its own bit of personality.
These images are digital design previews. This design revision is complete, but slicing, print preparation and physical fit checks are still ahead. Cartridge movement, mounting fit and supports still need to be validated before we can call this version print-ready.
This is a personal fan project, separate from the NES connector board and tray preorder kit. The gallery has both the full design preview and a closer look at the flame detail.
