The next NES tray is in the console.
The next teal tray is printed, with fitting checks and a secure way to mount the connector board to the tray now in progress.
The next tray rendition is printed and pictured inside the open NES, alongside the connector and original hardware. The full-floor teal print gives the fitting work its next physical prototype.
I’m also working on a secure way to mount the connector board to the tray. The goal is to keep it stable without putting strain on the board or interfering with cartridge insertion and removal.
Cartridge seating, shield and door clearance, ejection, and electrical operation remain part of the development checks before this can become a finished kit. This photo records the new printed tray; it is not a claim that the connector board or the complete assembly has passed functional testing.
The photo background has been cleaned up for the website. The original photograph and physical measurements remain the reference for the build. Earlier fitting photos are still in the gallery, so the progression is there to follow.
